Tony Gibbens holds an M.S. in electrical engineering and a dual bachelor’s in Math and Computer Science and has been admitted to practice law in Indiana and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark.
While working towards his M.S., Tony designed and developed a true multi-agent-based distributed environment (COHORT), which was later acquired by the U.S. Department of Defense for use in research of partial information and negotiation-based self-optimizing distributed systems. Tony also formed a business, Games ‘N’ Gear, an Internet based mail order discount game and hobby shop, which he eventually sold. Tony is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN. Tony’s professional experience further includes the following: · Served as project manager for development, implementation, and maintenance of client server and web-based applications for the Indianapolis and Marion County Government. · Managed third party vendors engaged in E-commerce projects with client. · Served as team advisor for contract with a major insurance company, to ensure on-time delivery of a web-based claims processing project. · Served as consultant for development of an intellectual property and opportunity management software system. Resulting system is now key management tool of a large European-based pharmaceutical company. Duties included interaction and communication with senior management in both the U.S. and Europe. · Designed and managed development of a large accelerated B2B E-commerce initiative for manufacturing start-up company. · Managed analysis and development of Ameritech initiatives for Software Synergy, Inc. This included developing data coherence algorithms and providing large-scale data mining of ISDN services. · Provided leadership in the successful implementation of a corporate-wide Lawson ERP system and E-commerce strategies in preparation for company IPO. · Developed software profitability model and web-based station messaging system for American Trans Air, Inc. · Planned major upgrade of computer system and developed corporate-wide initiatives to enhance connectivity to remote terminals for Overland Transportation, Inc. · Drafted and negotiated agreements including software and hardware licensing agreements, long-term service agreements, staff augmentation agreements, contractor development and implementation agreements, purchase and sale agreements, disaster recovery agreements, staff training agreements, usage and distribution agreements, consulting agreements and others. |
